Chuck Brodsky:
is a storytelling, songwriting, modern-day troubadour whose genuine warmth and quirky, finely crafted songs touch hearts, funny bones and a nerve or two. With irony and wit, his twelve CDs celebrate the eccentric, holy, courageous, inspiring and the beautiful, while poking fun at what needs poking.
After a few years busking in Europe and picking fruit, Chuck began performing around northern California in the late 1980’s. Over the past 28 years he’s played concerts all across the USA and in eleven countries. Several of his songs have appeared in movies and on tv, while others have been covered by artists as diverse as David Wilcox, Kathy Mattea, The African Children’s Choir of Uganda, and Frogwings (with Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks). The National Baseball Hall of Fame, where he’s performed 3 times, has dubbed him “Baseball’s Troubadour Poet Laureate.”

What better time than the end of the year to sit back and ask ourselves, “Now what?” At some point, we all find ourselves at a crossroads or an impasse with no directions to guide us, and everyone has a story about whether they found the answer from within or from without.
Whether you come with a story, or an ear to hear one, let’s chart a new course and the question begs to be answered. “Now what?”

VIMEO ON DEMAND! This beautifully edited video captures the essence of this story and music trio's annual Winter Solstice event. Filmed at New Hampshire Theater Project's intimate theater in 2016 and 2017 with two cameras and superior sound. "From Darkness to Light" will be available as a Vimeo on Demand to ticket buyers through the entire holiday season: December 18th - December 26th. Tickets $15.00
About From Darkness to Light: Celebrate the Winter Solstice with haunting legends of light, evergreen traditions, and entertaining tales surrounded by traditional and original music and song. Master storyteller Diane Edgecomb brings to life unusual ancient tales of the longest nights. Featured stories include the beautiful Legend of the Mistletoe from Scandinavia, humorous English Wassail traditions, and the poignant Greek legend The Halcyon Days of Peace. Accompanied by Celtic harper Margot Chamberlain and multi-instrumentalist Tom Megan this performance offers a fascinating look at the humorous and moving stories behind winter holiday traditions. Songs evocative of the season and lovely instrumental melodies round out the event.
