This unique pairing of storytellers will highlight the similarities and differences in their lives as well as our own lives. Carol Birch is a retired children’s librarian known for a compelling blend of energy, warmth, vulnerability, and directness usually telling literary, folk and fairy tales. Sitting at home during COVID, she developed a repertoire of family stories highlighting her working-class roots and life experiences. Ray Christian is a retired paratrooper. Currently, he lives in the mountains of North Carolina with his wife and six children. His stories are about his life experiences of inner-city poverty, race relations, military, and family. Christian has told on many stages including the RISK Podcast, The Moth, Snap Judgement, and the Story Collider. This is a hybrid event so you may attend in person or virtually. The program is from 7 – 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
