Sounding like a demon straight from hell, the shock waves from a low flying airplane rattled storyteller Regina Ress’s apartment building in lower Manhattan just before it plunged into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. The hijackers thought only of loosing terror. Instead, what Regina witnessed was a tidal wave of compassion, generosity and grace.
“What I learned from 9/11 is that love is stronger than hate. Of this I am very sure.”
Long time resident of the fabled Greenwich Village neighborhoodin NYC, Regina Ress is an award winning storyteller, actor, and educator. For over 30 years, she has told stories in the US, Latin America, Europe, and Asia in schools and festivals, prisons and parks, homeless shelters and the White House. She believes that storytelling connects us to each other and to the deepest parts of ourselves.
