December 7, 2019 –
Please join nationally celebrated storyteller, Connie Regan-Blake, as she hosts her workshop participants Catherine Yael Serota, Steve Tate, Rick Bowers, Jane O. Cunningham, Christine Westfeldt, and Pepper Ellis-Hagebak in an enchanting evening of storytelling in “A Slice of Life: An Evening of Stories.” The event is hosted by the Black Mountain Center for the Arts, just a short drive from Asheville nestled in the picturesque mountains surrounding the area. Call the Center for advance tickets (828) 669-0930 or purchase online.
Connie’s three-day workshop, “Taking Your Story to the Stage“, emphasizes storytelling performance and taking the step up onto the stage. As part of this workshop, her participants have the opportunity to exercise these new skills in a formal performance setting. Thus, “A Slice of Life” brings together several unique tellers’ voices to create a delightful storytelling experience.
Tickets are available in advance through Black Mountain Center for the Arts (828) 669-0930.
“The Round Robin of storytellers at Connie Regan-Blake’s “Slice of Life” show gave me a rare listening treat. Each story was as unique as the voice that told it. What great fun to hear a mountain art form so well-spun!”
