Storyteller/Instructor: Deb Swanegan
In this 2-hour workshop designed for K-12 educators in any discipline, participants will learn how to utilize all of the resources at their disposal to teach in an increasingly multicultural world. When storytelling is used effectively by resourceful educators, cultural chasms can be bridged, and the fear of being “politically incorrect” can be erased. Students will be able to learn in an active participation mode, an enhanced repertoire of teaching techniques can be utilized, and best of all, the learning outcomes are improved and internalized. K-12 educators from any discipline are welcome to attend; storytelling materials will be provided.
FREE, but pre-registration is required. Certificate available upon completion.
