Katie Green brings the heart of the story to the heart of the listener. Her tales of Truth, Folk & Faery have delighted audiences from coast to coast and beyond. Katie’s love of research and peoples’ stories enables her to tell with respect and integrity. She believes that storytelling can and does change the world.
Katie is a founding member of the League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling (LANES) and, although she has relocated to Florida, she maintains her involvement with North Eastern Storytellers (NEST). She is a member of the Florida Storytelling Association, Old Tampa Bay Storytellers, NEST, and the National Storytelling Network (NSN). She has performed and presented workshops at National Storytelling Network, Sharing the Fire, Connecticut Storytelling Festival, Three Apples Storytelling Festival, Hans Christian Andersen Storytelling Center, Friends General Gathering (Quaker), and numerous libraries, schools, and museums. In 1998 her work with educators and storytellers was honored with the National Storytelling Association’s Service Award for the North East. Storytelling of all types and styles, in a friendly, cooperative venue where seasoned tellers and newcomers alike are received with full attention.
There are no content restrictions, other than prohibiting deliberately offensive language.
