September 29, 2018 –
Now in its seventh year, the Lititz Storytelling Festival has developed into a premier showcase for the art of storytelling.
The 2018 Festival takes place September 28 and 29, 2018, and features warm, homespun stories by Donald Davis; the wit and humor of Geraldine Buckley; classic folk tales with an “Affrilachian” twist by Lyn Ford; hilarious, heartfelt stories by Andy Offutt Irwin, and traditional and contemporary stories from African and African American oral and cultural traditions by Charlotte Blake Alston. Each storyteller will perform at Friday and Saturday evening concerts and during the day on Saturday, telling different stories at each concert. Attendees can learn from the masters and hone their own storytelling skills at a series of workshops, or sign up for the Story Swap to present their own story. The Story Swap is open to all levels of experience. The event is indoors. It is being held at the Warwick High School auditorium and other venues in historic downtown Lititz, PA. www.LititzSF.org.
