Andy’s 85-year-old aunt Marguerite Van Camp, who is a recent graduate from medical school, has a new…boyfriend – a beekeeping organic farmer named Ike. What will Marguerite’s daughter say? What will Marguerite’s departed husband, Charles (who still speaks to her from beyond) think? What adventures await these octogenarian young lovers who still have vital careers?
With a silly putty voice, hilarious heart-filled stories, and amazing mouth noises (arguably, the greatest whistler in the world) one-person-showman Andy Offutt Irwin is equal parts mischievous schoolboy and the Marx Brothers, peppered with a touch of the Southern balladeer. Andy is one of the most sought after performing storytellers in the United States. To learn more visit Andy’s website.
Before Andy takes the stage, Stephanie Holman will share a story. Stephanie is a children’s librarian for the Monroe County Public Library. She is a past recipient of the Frank Basile Emerging Stories Fellowship and several commissions for the Sharing Hoosier History Through Stories series and the If These Walls Could tell series. She is a long time member of the Bloomington Storyteller Guild which annually produces Wintertelling and the Festival of Ghost Stories.
