The Brimstone Award for Applied Storytelling supports a model storytelling project that is service-oriented, based in a community or organization, and to some extent replicable in other places and situations.

Hear Me Now is a storytelling and listening program founded through the Institute for Human Caring at Providence St. Joseph Health, in partnership with StoryCorps, the nation’s largest oral history project.

Dear World visited Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) this week.

At WPI, approximately 180 students, faculty, and staff participated in personal story workshops, first solo writing, then pairing together to distill each story into a few significant words. Those words were then written on the person’s skin. Then a portrait was taken of the person and their words.

The NSN Summit/Conference Committee is in the midst of finalizing details for our meeting in Kansas City this coming July. The reason for my writing is that we are still seeking RFPs for regions/Storytelling organizations interested in hosting the 2019 NSN Summit/Conference. If there is any region desiring to host the 2019 NSN Summit/Conference please email Robert Barrientos regarding your interest in hosting.

Time is of the essence as the 2019 Summit/Conference is already being designed, so please contact Robert today.
