On October 8, the 7th Nu Wa Storytelling Cultural Exchange launched in Beijing led by Nancy Wang and Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo of Eth-Noh-Tec. The highlight of the exchange is the sharing of stories between American tellers and tellers from the small rural town of Gengcun that has a 600+ years of storytelling tradition.

Then, on October 16th, the first Nu Wan Storytelling Cultural Exchange will be launched in South Korea where American tellers will experience the beautiful countryside, cultural events and story sharing.  Eth-Noh-Tec is also featured in South Korea’s first International Storytelling Festival.

NSN was honored by a request from Eth-Noh-Tec to send greetings with them on their exchanges. Official greetings and best wishes were sent with Nancy and Robert of Eth-Noh-Tec to present to key contacts on their exchanges. We hope Nancy and Robert have a successful tour and would like to thank them for allowing NSN to extend greetings and friendship to our overseas friends.

On November 3, the Meaford Culture Foundation will be presenting “an authentic entertainment experience ranging from the heartwarming to the hilarious,” with the Georgian Bay Story Slam Grand Finale. It represents the culmination of a series of Story Slams that have been held in small venues around Georgian Bay.

NSN is updating our list of Tellabrations!^TM, Storytelling Festivals, and Conferences to be included on the NSN website. We'd like it to be a comprehensive resource for anyone looking for stoytelling events around the world. If you know of any storytelling events that should be included on this type of list, please let us know so we can include them! It would be helpful if contact information could be provided with the name of the event.
