Casadie Smith:
Casadie Smith is a graduate student at East Tennessee State University, pursuing her Master’s in Communication & Storytelling Studies. She delights in the crafting and telling of stories ranging from folk and fairy tales to personal adventures, and everything in between. Casadie has a bachelor’s degree in Music, specializing in vocal performance, and she continues to use her voice to weave a little magic and a lot of love into her stories. Tonight, Casadie will be exploring a range of tales, taking place in modern Cape Town, fictional castles in faraway lands, and her very own childhood home. At the center of these stories is the beating heart of Casadie’s greatest passion: Community. Through the exploration of the real and the fictional, the love of family and friends, and the weaving of strangers and clandestine encounters, we build the communities that nourish us and uplift us. Casadie’s desire to build community through storytelling is why she is here tonight, and is thankful to be able to share this moment of community with you.
