We went to Sharing the Fire and left with two great storytellers who want to perform live from Havurat Shalom. So this week we will forgo open telling and have two one hour sets by impressive tellers.

Mindy Donner:
Mindy has performed on three continents as a storyteller, puppeteer, and playwright working with people, puppets, and masks. This is the Chinese Year of the Dragon, so you will experience two such dragon stories, in which gestural language is prominent. And humor is understated. These stories will then be put away, as the whole delicate spectrum of cultural appropriation is acknowledged. There will be a short third story from the master, Hans Christian Andersen, or maybe a personal animal tale.

Eva Abram:
Eva Abram grew up collecting the rainwater essential for life and now collects the stories essential for the soul. Her RAINWATER STORYTELLING offers storytelling and public speaking services for your events and assemblies. A variety of presentations are available for audiences in schools, libraries, universities, conferences, businesses, museums, and community spaces. Story and Presentation subjects include: Folktales/legends, American history stories, Northwest history and Literary stories.
