We’re also hosting a story contest at the festival. Over 300 people voted for their favorite storytellers and the top 7 are competing in the People’s Choice Storytelling Contest. The 7 storytellers competing in the 2023 People’s Choice Storytelling Contest at the Women’s Storytelling Festival are: Lona Bartlett, Julie Bradshaw, Bette Lou Higgins, Robin Kitson, Teri Lott, Gwendolyn Napier, and Stacy Parish! The contest is part of the festival and your festival ticket gives you access to watch and to vote.

In-person events will take place at The Old Town Hall, 3999 University Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030. We will be premiering our virtual only showcase at 5:00pm ET on Friday. In-person storytelling and live stream starts at 7:00pm ET. The festival weekend starts at 7:00pm Eastern on Friday, March 24, 2023 and will wrap up Sunday, March 26, around 8:00pm ET.
All attendees, whether attending in-person or virtual only, will receive links to watch the live stream. The videos of the festival will be available for all ticket holders to watch until midnight on April 26, 2022.
PLEASE NOTE: Once the festival starts, it will be difficult for our volunteers to respond to emails. Please check to make sure you have links to watch BEFORE 5pm on March 24th.
