Adair Heitmann, BFA is an award-winning author, storyteller, artist, and educator. She is a 4X Winner in the Connecticut Press Club's 2022 Professional Communications Contest, including Second Place Award in Speeches for her "A.R.T.: Art, Reflection, Transformation" and Third Place Award in Speeches for her PechaKucha, “Art Saved My Life: Journey of a Lifetime.” Her call-to-action is in true personal experience narratives with inspiring messages for all. Through them she examines identity, self-acceptance, relationships, creativity, transformation, and pivotal life experiences.
Her essays and poems are published in books and anthologies. Adair is a Poet-in-Residence Teaching Artist in schools with Silvermine Art Partners in Norwalk and Bridgeport, CT.
She's been writing and publishing "Adair Heitmann's Creativity and Wellness" blog since 2009 and she is a grant recipient from the Connecticut Department of Culture and Tourism. Her fine art is exhibited internationally and online.
