Marlon Carey:
Marlon Carey is a Poet , Educator, Actor, Communicator and Entertainer. He has been writing and performing for most of his life. He has published books, produced hiphop CDs, been in plays and short films, and conducted workshops. He is the co-founder of Shakespeare to Hiphop, a group focused on English language presentations and workshops for kids of all ages.
He’s also a storyteller and a member of RIBS – the Rhode Island Black Storytellers, and Brothers Keeper Poetry theater Ensemble.
Also known as Hip hop artist Inphynit DaGhost, Marlon weaves a tapestry of amazing and introspective work dealing with a myriad of topics. When he is not onstage, he is a full-time father of three amazing children, caretaker of four naughty cats, and husband to one very patient wife.

o Masking: We must all wear a KN95 or N95 mask while in the building.
Unmasking: We may drop our masks while telling or announcing if tested negative for Covid the day of the event.
o Drink: We may sip water from our own water bottles without going outside
• Food: Please do not bring food into the building. Please consume it outside.
• Drink: Please bring your own water bottle that you filled prior to arriving.
• Accessibility: Havurat Shalom is Handicap Accessible via a ramp in the rear
• Allergy Free: Please no pets, or scents (soap, perfume, cologne, after shave, etc.)
• Air Conditioning: There is no Air Conditioning in the building
• Parking: There is on-street parking.
• Cancellation of telling at the Havurah: If Somerville declares a weather emergency, or we decide parking is unavailable.

Storytelling of all types and styles, in a friendly, cooperative venue where listeners and tellers and newcomers alike get full attention.
There are no content restrictions, other than prohibiting deliberately offensive language.
Try out a new story, spin an old favorite, or just listen.
No Topics. No Competition. No Judging. Just Stories.
