Bio
Coral Conant Gilles, Storytelling Naturalist, became a storyteller accidentally while teaching environmental education in the Pacific Northwest. Now she lives on land known to most as Madison, WI, but taken from the Ho-Chunk people and known as Teejop. Coral is truly at home in wild places and uses her work to connect others to those places, themselves, and each other. Coral’s programs inspire curiosity, empathy, and connection. She offers storytelling, hands-on nature activities, discovery hikes, and workshops, often in combination. Coral tells folktales, original creations, and personal stories. Her workshops range from teaching storytelling and nature connection to building community and empathy within and across groups. She has programs for all ages, 2 years old through elders.
