Bio
Elizabeth Rowe has been spinning yarns for over thirty years. A French teacher and actress, she began frightening teenaged campers in upstate New York's Adirondack mountains with chilling ghost stories that had them shivering yet asking for more. She now offers a creative repertoire of multicultural folk tales, myths, legends, literary pieces and true stories to children and adults in schools, libraries, museums, conferences and festivals. Programs can be customized for all ages and are also offered in French.
Ms. Rowe weaves a multicolored tapestry of words designed to enlighten, entertain and inspire. From participatory tales and fables for the very young to the more involved heroics of ancient myths, the wit and wisdom of timeless folktales, the sophistication of classic authors or the haunting chill of an ageless ghost story, her performances and workshops are tailored to audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
