Join Better Said Than Done storytelling online this Spring for a series of storytelling workshops to seed and grow your creative spirit. Workshops led by Better Said Than Done Executive Director Jessica Piscitelli Robinson.

Register here for ALL five classes, or just one.

The idea of the five week course is to tie each of these varied themes together into a comprehensive study and exercise in storytelling. You can register for all five classes for the cost of four, but each week’s class is also designed to stand on it’s own.

Generally, each workshop will start with a lesson, followed by time for attendees to write and work on a story, and end with story sharing. All workshops will be recorded and all registrants will receive the recording, as well as course materials, for the session they registered for.

Workshops run April 29, May 6, May 20, May 27th, and June 3rd, 2026. We’ll be skipping May 13th. Each week starts at 7:00pm Eastern and will end at approximately 8:45 to 9:00pm. The zoom link to attend will be sent on the morning of that day’s workshop, and the recording will be sent within 48 hours.

April 29, 2026 – Workshop 1: Drama – what makes a story a story

Learn the difference between a story you can tell in front of an audience, and a vignette you’d share at the dinner table.  This workshop will focus on: defining “story;” how to find a story; turning an incident into a story; and how to add the drama. New storytellers will discover how to start and experienced storytellers will find inspiration. Writing exercises and story sharing are a part of every class.
