 Andy Russell:
is an award-winning Teller of Stories and a Singer of Songs. Andy Russell grew up in North Carolina in a family rich with storytellers. Family gatherings were often filled with stories of hard times, simple pleasures, and heartfelt emotions. Today, Andy’s stories and music blend those experiences with his beliefs that we are all connected by stories, that animals matter, and that magic still exists in this world. This fall, Andy will be a Featured Teller at the Old North State Storytelling Festival, the Suncoast Storytelling Festival and the Cracker Storytelling Festival. He will also be a Featured Teller at the Florida Storytelling Festival in January 2027. In 2025, Andy won the annual Story Slam Championship by Six Feet Apart Productions. Andy has performed as a regional teller at the Georgia Mountain Storytelling Festival, “A Taste of Storytelling” in LaGrange, GA and for Artists Standing Strong Together. He was selected as a New Voice Teller for the Old North State Storytelling Festival and the Stone Soup Storytelling Festival. Andy has been featured on multiple online programs, including Moonshine Stories, Traditions and Truth, Better Said Than Done and The Good Liars Club.
