Folktale Translation: A Study
This performance focuses on the transcription, translation, and analysis of folktales from the Central Eastern Coastal region of China. Xiaoyi Zeng, a high school senior from Washington, will be discussing the process of her research, methodologies of translation, and her own insights on importance of storyteller and receiver, storytelling mediums, oral/literary culture, and more.
