Dorothy Cleveland

Dorothy Cleveland has been telling tales to adults publicly since 1995. She especially likes folktales, fairy tales and personal tales that show the darker shadows and humor of life. She was a 2019 recipient of the National Storytelling Oracle Award for Service and Leadership in the North Central Region and is the Administrator | Conference Coordinator for Northlands Storytelling Network. She also served two years on the NSN Board as Secretary and Treasurer and is currently the Minnesota State Liaison for NSN. Dorothy has a MLS degree in leadership from the University of Minnesota. Dorothy is co-author, with Barbara Schutzgruber, of "Beyond the Sword Maiden: A Storyteller’s Introduction to the Heroine’s Journey." Together they present a workshop on healing stories using the heroine's journey as methodology. Dorothy is the Administrator/Conference Coordinator of Northlands Storytelling Network. She resides in St. Paul, MN.
